#organizationaltipoftheweek start small!!! If you feel like your house has taken on a life of its own start small! Pick a corner of the kitchen, the catch all coffee table or in my house, the shoe bench!
Step 1: grab 3 bags or bins!
Step 2: toss everything that’s destroyed into one bag. You know, those smelly kids shoes that have had one too many park visits and the soles aren’t even attached to the shoes anymore!
Step 3: toss anything that’s been outgrown or won’t be used again into the for sale bag!
Step 4: if you are saving anything for a sibling or for yourself for next year, like snow boots, toss those in your bin for the attic!
Step 5: list everything in your for sale bin on Facebook! Whatever doesn’t sell in a week take to your local charity!!
Our minimalist rule of thumb for the kids is one pair of summer shoes (I’ll post more on our new fav shoes another day!), one pair of sneakers and a pair of church shoes or cute boots for winter! For us adults it’s pretty similar except we have some running shoes too and I might have a pair of toms and a pair of sanuks 🙈 don’t judge me 😝
(The black and white pictures totally make my mess look more pleasing to the eye doesn’t it? 🤣)
